About the Owner and Instructor

FIREARMS. SAFETY. DEFENSE.

After nearly four decades serving across federal, state, and local law enforcement, Benjamin

Richardson is launching Tribe of Benjamin Enterprise, a national firearms safety and defense

education initiative focused on prevention, responsibility, and life preserving preparedness.

Richardson is a veteran federal agent and investigator with more than 25 years of experience

in violent crime, firearms enforcement, white collar crime, and regulatory compliance. His

career includes service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol,

Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. Across these

roles, he worked complex cases from initial investigation through prosecution.

As an FBI Special Agent, Richardson led federal investigations, served as a SWAT team

member, and operated as a Technically Trained Agent responsible for covert audio and video

surveillance.  He received extensive training in evidence response, crime scene processing,

and interview and interrogation. Earlier in his career, he served as an Adult Probation Officer,

supervising high risk offenders and conducting home visits, gaining firsthand insight into how

ignored warning signs and poor boundaries often escalate into serious harm.

During more than a decade with the ATF, Richardson conducted regulatory inspections of

federal firearms licensees, managed firearm trafficking referrals, delivered firearms

compliance training, and participated in warning and revocation hearings. In senior

operations roles, he also oversaw internal audits, safety compliance, building security,

confidential informant program oversight, and public outreach initiatives.

In addition to investigative and enforcement work, Richardson has supported church service

security efforts, advising faith based communities on improving safety and preparedness

without compromising their mission, values, or atmosphere of worship.

The decision to form Tribe of Benjamin Enterprises was personal. Over the years, Richardson

encountered countless cases in which individuals lacked situational awareness, safety

planning, or personal boundaries. One case that left a lasting impact involved a woman

known for helping the homeless who allowed a man into her home without adequate

precautions or a personal safety plan. She was later killed. Richardson believes that with

proper education, boundaries, and preparation, the outcome might have been different.

That tragedy reinforced a truth Richardson saw repeatedly throughout his career. Good

intentions without preparation can be deadly.

Public safety research consistently shows that secure firearm storage significantly reduces

accidental access and misuse, particularly in homes with children or frequent visitors.

Richardson emphasizes that proper storage is one of the most effective and overlooked

safety measures available to responsible owners.

Law enforcement training and crime prevention studies also demonstrate that situational

awareness is often the deciding factor in avoiding dangerous encounters altogether, with

many incidents prevented simply because a person recognized warning signs early and

changed course.

Tribe of Benjamin Enterprises is built on five core values shaped by decades of real world

cases.

*Reverence for Life emphasizes that once life is lost, it cannot be restored. All training

prioritizes preservation over force.

*Disciplined Responsibility recognizes that firearms ownership carries lifelong legal and moral

consequences that demand restraint and accountability.

*Prepared Defense focuses on prevention, awareness, and lawful readiness rather than

reaction under panic.

*Moral Accountability reflects the reality that actions must withstand ethical and legal scrutiny

long after an incident ends.

*Community Stewardship centers on strengthening families, churches, and neighborhoods

through responsible education and shared standards.

As part of its national launch, Tribe of Benjamin Enterprises will deliver firearms safety

education, concealed carry preparation, church safety and security ministry training,

women’s firearm safety programs, and home defense education. All programs are

intentionally non political and non militant, grounded in investigative reality rather than

theory.

To extend this mission beyond in person training, Richardson is authoring a seven book

educational series scheduled for release in early 2026. The series translates investigative and

courtroom experience into practical guidance focused on risk reduction and informed

decision making.

The titles include:

*Choosing the Right Firearm for Defense: A Practical Guide to Safe Selection, Storage, and Use

*10 Personal Safety Mistakes People Make: The Decisions Most People Regret When It’s Too

Late

*12 Safety Decisions That Save Lives: How to Reduce Risk and Increase Your Margin of Safety

*7 Good to Know Tips Before Your CCW Class: How Intention, Mindset, and Responsibility

Shape Every Outcome

*10 Church Safety and Security Ministry Essentials: How to Prepare Before a Crisis Forces the

Conversation

*Calm. Confident. Women.: A Practical CCW Safety and Security Guide for Women

*My Last 3 Seconds: The Self Defense Decision Window

Each book follows a consistent educational format designed for individuals, families,

churches, and training environments, emphasizing prevention before crisis and responsibility

before reaction.

After decades spent investigating the aftermath of violence, Richardson’s mission moving

forward is clear: to help people recognize danger early, establish safeguards, and make

informed decisions before seconds turn into irreversible consequences.
